What does the American Dream mean today?
For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don’t.
Beginning with the 1997 release of the original Grand Theft Auto, the GTA series has been one of the most prolific, controversial and down right entertaining franchises in video games history. This pedigree of success guarantees that the highly anticipated eleventh game in the series, Grand Theft Auto IV, will garner at least as much attention if not more.

The Plot
Grand Theft Auto IV is a brand new adventure in the GTA universe following the experiences of Nikolai "Niko" Bellic, a new immigrant from an undisclosed eastern European country whose troubled pa st and the persuasion of his cousin Roman have brought him to the fictional Liberty City. Unfortunately, Niko’s search for the American Dream and a much needed fresh start, hits an immediate snag when the rags to riches story Roman spun to pique Niko's interest is exposed as not only a complete fabrication, but a ploy to enlist Niko’s well-known skills as a tough guy against the ample list of enemies clamoring for Roman’s debt-ridden blood.
Because Roman is the only person Niko knows in Liberty City he begrudgingly accepts his role as Roman’s protector despite the deception. But as time goes on Niko comes into his own, and his experience on the wrong side of the tracks proves more valuable than he could have ever imagined as he fights for survival and later supremacy on the crime ridden streets of Liberty City.
Game Environments
Based on several of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, Liberty City, familiar to players of previous games in the series, has been entirely redesigned for GTA IV. Players can expect visible detail down to the weeds growing in the cracks in the sidewalk, cars and buildings of visibly different ages and a much greater level if verticality in the buildings and bridges that they are able to explore as Niko moves through the city streets. In addition, pedestrians in GTA IV are much more realistic. No longer simply moving cardboard cutouts, these NPCs are intelligent, modern, human representations that laugh, cry, eat, drink, use cell phones and ATMs, and talking amongst themselves regardless of Niko’s interaction with them.
Gameplay
Historically GTA games have focused heavily on mission-based play, requiring successful completion of fixed tasks in order for players to progress through the game, but this has changed to a great extent in GTA IV. Players will experience an entirely new and exciting emphasis centered on the blending of on-mission and off-mission play, resulting not only in an increased sense of realism, but more interesting and unrestricted gameplay.
Features
Aside from the car jacking and a detailed city environment here are the new features for GTA IV:
  • Improved combat system - Now you can use cover and also a target lock system, which allows you to take out targets with greater ease and accuracy. Plus, you can engage in some hand-to-hand combat if you can't get your hands on a piece quick enough.
  • Cell phone - Not just for basic phone calls anymore. Use your in-game cell phone to receive missions via SMS, snap photos, and ZiT (tag) songs that can be downloaded exclusively on Amazon.com/mp3.
  • Free time - In between missions you can take advantage of "me" time. There are gentleman's clubs, comedy clubs, bowling alleys, and bars, which all house unique activities.
  • Take a break from the storyline - A variety of side missions allow you to help run a car service, "borrow" cop cars, assassinate targets, help solve problems for those on the street, or take to the air with stunt jumps that are scattered all over the city.
  • Control your own fate - Throughout the game choice moments will arrive causing you to make a decision that will affect relationships and money.
Multiplayer
Give Niko a rest and create your own multiplayer "hero." GTA has added multiplayer modes allowing you to take your creation out to play online in competitive, co-op, and free form modes. Competitive mode has you fighting against the cops, jacking cars, or racing to finish odd jobs. Co-op challenges you and your friends with various tasks including Hangman's NOOSE where you are responsible for escorting a wanted kingpin to a safe extraction point. Freeform lets you and 15 others lose on Liberty City. Use this mode to hit up the bar and play virtual darts versus each other or head out to the streets and set up your own drag races. If you can dream it, you can do it in Freeform mode.
ZiT: We'll Spot The Song For You
When playing Grand Theft Auto IV, if you hear a song that you are interested in buying as an MP3, all you have to do is dial ZiT-555-0100 on your in-game mobile phone and a text message will be sent to you with the name of the artist and the title of the track. The next time you log in at the Rockstar Games Social Club, you will find 30-second previews of all the songs you have ZiT'ed while playing the game. You can add them to your basket there and click to purchase at Amazon MP3, or you can find them all at www.amazon.com/gtamusic.

5For those having issues installing on Win 7
By Kewl Guy
I posted the below as a reply to someone and thought many others were probably having the same issue so I reposted it here:

Hi,

I would consider changing my star rating after you try what I am about to suggest :-)

I had the same exact problem and was super upset because I have a top of the line gaming laptop (i7, gtx 460, 8 gigs ram, etc)

I found that the issue is with the 64 bit nature of windows 7. If you find the installation .exe file that you run to install the game and instead of double clicking it, you right click on the file and click on "troubleshoot compatibility", windows will then suggest running it in Windows XP SP2 mode or somtthing like that, and VIOALA! It will work. I could not find this simple fix anywhere on the internet and forgot that my win 7 was running in 64 bit mode so I figured that must be the problem (almost all programs are the older 32 bit versions and have to be run in compatibility mode). If you still have trouble, just try running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP. Hope this helps. The game is AWESOME by the way, I like it way better on my pc than on my xbox. amazing graphics. Good luck.

4Works fine in Windows 7 64-bit
By Jim C
First of all, it works fine in Windows 7, even 64-bit. Run the setup.exe located in the GTAIV directory instead of the autorun.exe in the root download directory, if you do it this way, it does not install the Rockstar Social Club. When you run setup.exe, it will tell you "Your system is not compatible with Grand Theft Auto IV. Please follow the link below for more information. If you click the link, it takes you to a Microsoft support article on how to download and install Windows XP Service Pack 3. It shouldn't take a genius to figure out that you need to run the setup in Windows XP Service Pack 3 mode. Right click on the setup.exe, go to the compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the drop down list. Run setup.exe again and it will install.

As for the other complaints about having to install or sign up with the Rockstar Social club and Games for Windows Live, if you read the directions right in front of you, it tells you that the Rockstar Social Club is optional, and you can create an offline GFWL account and never have to be online to play the game. You only have to create those accounts if you want to play multiplayer over the internet.

I bought the game on disk when it was released, but my DVD drive malfunctioned and ejected the disk while it was spinning full speed. I checked the disk and it would not read data2.cab. I would not be able to use it to re-install the game, but it would still recognize it and let me launch the game. I figured I would just have to buy it again when the time came to re-install, and hoped that when that time came the price would come down.

I built a new gaming computer earlier this year. By then the Episode From Liberty City came out on PC, so I bought that and forgot all about GTA: IV while I was busy playing EFLC.

Recently I was itching to go back and play the original GTA: IV, but I couldn't re-install with my bad disk. Lucky for me Amazon had a 75% off end of the year sale, so I decided to give the $5 digital download version a try rather than pay $20 for another disk version. It downloads the contents of what is on the retail DVDs, it installs and runs just like it's a retail disk version, but without the need for a disk.

You still have to activate with SecuROM (I forgot about that part), but after that it runs without the need to find and put in a disk or connect to a digital service. As long as all Amazon Digital Download games work this way, I will be buying games this way from now on.

1Doesn't work
By RichCI
After FINALLY getting the Amazon software to download the file (why do I need to install software to download a file?), I was able to install the game only to have it throw errors each time I tried to run it. On the bright side, Amazon customer support was helpful and is giving me a refund.

5Tested on Playstation 1, 2, and 3 games - it works GREAT on all of them!
By The Matrix Fan
Well folks, now that the dust has settled from the Sony vs. Immersion lawsuit, Playstation 3 owners are finally able to feel the vibe again!

I purchased this controller today and I knew the only way to properly road-test it was on the game that made the Dualshock famous, Metal Gear Solid. After booting up the game, I walked down the hallway and got spotted by a guard. As he shouted, "WHO'S THAT?" the controller jumped in my hand - and I knew this was a smart purchase. As the guards shot at me, I felt the feedback of the bullets, just as I had 10 years ago on my Sony Playstation.

I picked out another old school Playstation game, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. From Ayame's blades to Rikimaru's sword, each sword swipe and jump had excellent feedback.

Okay, so my Playstation games worked out. But what about my Playstation 2 library?

I popped in God of War, knowing I had to feel the swing of the Blades of Chaos. The controller vibrations felt a little lighter here, but the vibrations still occurred at the appropriate times.

Then I chose Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction. Who better to test a vibration controller than the Sultan of Smash? All the power jumps and smashes had the vibrations intact, but they still felt a little on the light side.

All right, so far I was two for two with my Playstation and Playstation 2 test subjects. But what about my Playstation 3 games? Could I possibly hit a trifecta?

I put in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and I decided to jump right into a heated firefight. The controller gave me feedback while shooting weapons and getting hit by enemy fire, but I knew my purchase was justified when Drake was near death: I FELT THE DUALSHOCK 3 PULSING IN SYNCH WITH DRAKE'S HEARTBEAT. It's one thing to hear that noise and know he's near death, it's quite another to feel the pulse in my own hands.

Okay, so the feedback on the older games was there, but a little lighter than I remember. The reason? Well, when I decided to go wireless on my Playstation 2 system, I bought a Logitec Dualshock controller. It turns out, that controller takes two "AA" batteries, and the vibration motors inside the controller handles are slightly larger than the ones in the Dualshock 3. That's where I felt the difference.

The Dualshock 3 vibrations may be slightly less than the Logitec controller, but it doesn't require the purchase of batteries.
The Dualshock 3 may be slightly heavier than the SixAxis, but it doesn't take up any extra space at all.

Sure, the price is about $15 more than the SixAxis, but it's a worthy upgrade for the Playstation 3 gamer who kicks it old school as well as new school. The only other drawback is the lack of an additional USB cable - but we can use the one that came with the system itself.

So what's the final verdict?

Order it, plug it in, charge it up, and get ready for the inevitable downloads from the Playstation Store to make the older PS3 games Dualshock 3 compatible.

I wouldn't recommend a feedback peripheral without providing my own feedback...

Enjoy!

5Get ready to rumble, even with PS 2 games!
By Sebastian Fernandez
I was already extremely happy with the Sixaxis controller, but I could not resist getting the DualShock 3. Not only do you get the rumble, but also, it feels much better in your hands, even for those games that do not use this feature. The rumble function is fun, but on top of that, it helps with gameplay, because "feeling" what is happening provides a lot more feedback than just watching how your character or car reacts to the environment.

The biggest surprise of all was that the rumble works with PS 2 games in the PS 3 system. I am currently playing through "God of War", a game which had the rumble capability in PS 2. I thought that it was unlikely that I was going to get this feature with this new controller in the PS 3, but it worked perfectly.

I know that having to buy a new controller and basically discard the one that came with the system is not the ideal situation, but I have to say this product is really worth shedding the extra bucks.

5Should've been rumble from the start.
By The Gifted One
The Playstation 2's highly regarded DualShock 2 controller was considered by many to be the best videogame controller of all time. So when you've got a winning design there's no need to change anything. However, because of a legal battle with Immersion over rumble technology, Sony was forced to offer their Sixaxis controller without rumble. The Sixaxis had the same Dualshock design but it felt too lightweight and cheap. Thankfully the lawsuit has been settled and rumble has come back to the Playstation.

For the most part, the DualShock 3 is almost identical to its PS2 precessor. But it has all the features of the original Sixaxis controller in addition to rumble. The controller is still wireless, can be charged by plugging it into your PS3 (or PC), rumble is compatible with all PS1 and PS2 games, and the PS3 supports up to 7 controllers at the same time via bluetooth. Rumble in the DualShock 3 seems more responsive in regards to the location of its vibration depending on which side you get hit on during the games. I don't know if this is something in the design or if it's the developers doing it for the games but I welcome it.

All in all this is currently the best designed controller on the market right now. The PS2's DS2 was incredible so "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. I'll be enjoying rumble in my PS3 games from now on.

4Continue to Enjoy Dawn of War II with Retribution
    By Useful Idiot
AS noted in another review, the campaign is short, but you can play it with 6 races. The "Last Stand" mode is not for novices. You should be familiar with the DoW "Last Stand" scenarios and have some virtual "combat" time under your belt with other DoW series games before playing (not required, but it is a steep learning curve for those without experience). If you want tips for Last Stand, use "Steam News" and it notes best heros with specific equipment that have been successful.

Don't bother using Amazon's downloader for this game. Tried for a whole day to download 8GB... left it overnight and the download continues to get interrupted. Finally, was so frustrated, I logged on to "Steam" and used the game validation code (from Amazon) - it finished the entire download in an hour. Amazon has to do better with their downloader. Hope these notes are helpful.

If you are a Dawn of War 2 fan this is a must have. The new map for "Last Stand" is very challenging. The campaign is too short but you can play through it with all six races. Oh and the new Imperial Guard units are a blast (pun intended).

    4Great Multiplayer overshadows uninspired campaigns
    By Yuhuan Xie
If you're looking for a single player/co-op game, you should probably look elsewhere or wait for Heart of the Swarm. Dawn of War is kind of like Age of Empires in that the 'campaign' is generally more of a formality and the multiplayer is a blast. However, Dawn of War II original and to a lesser extent Chaos Rising have fun, long story driven campaigns. Retribution has a campaign for each of 6 races but the missions are all literally the same. Not worth 30$ for this.

However, the multiplayer is really fun once you get the hang of it. The steam group L2PDow@ (learn to play dawn of war 2) is a good resource to learn quickly. If you've played Dow1 or CoH you'll be alright. If you haven't, well, this game is a real time tactics game (no base building, units are upgraded individually, they can level up) that is centered around capturing points on the map king of the hill style. Also, the races all play very different and so re-playability/variance is very high (unlike World in Conflict). Definitely worth 30$ if you can get into it.

Of course if you are a Warhammer40k fan, this is worth it.

Also, while this game is a stand alone, playing online, all races for which you do not own the games in which they came out for will be disabled. So if you want to play as Eldar/Ork/Space Marine/Tyranid you have to buy original and if you want to play Chaos you need Chaos Rising. However, if you do not own Retribution, you can't play with everyone else who owns Retribution since the previous 2 Dawn of War 2 games were on Games for Windows Live and Retribution Multiplayer is on Steam (only about 15-20% of playerbase hasn't migrated over, will probably go down massively once RT goes on sale).

5With some new animations, commentary and features, NCAA 12 is once again a great choice for college pigskin fans everywhere.
    By Dmitry Kristal
    The Good:

    * The new "Coach Mode" gives you another way to play.
    * The "Road to Glory" now has boosts and unlockables, which keeps you pulled in as you try to improve and get coach's trust.
    * New animations as you run with the ball and fight for those extra yards.
    * New commentary and insights with Brad Nessler and Kirk Herbstreit and Erin Andrews on the sidelines.
    * New college fan animations with signature mascots and props.

    The Bad:

    * Some loading screens can slow down the fast pace of your gameplay.
    * Bring back Lee Corso!

    The Bottom Line:

To keep up with the tradition and lack of competition, EA found a way once again to recycle most of the game from a year before and will probably get away with it. However, they did manage to add some features to keep you interested. The Road to Glory mode is now better than ever as you start out as a high school chump and need to become a 5-caliber player before deciding which school you want to play for. You can now play offense and defense if you wish(You can be a QB and DE, for example) and see which schools show interest for either position. As soon as you settle down on campus, that's when the fun begins. Before taking over school, you must unlock features by impressing your coach. During your first game, you will only be able to run the plays you are given. After each play, you either get a PLUS or MINUS score, based on the result of the play. Soon, you'll be able to flip plays and ultimately, if you are good enough, you will be able to audible any play as you earn coach's trust. However, you also earn experience points with which you can buy boosts for a game or your career!

Coach's mode puts you on a hot seat. Do well and good things will happen. If you don't do so well, you get demoted/fired. While not as fun as Road to Glory, this is still a nice feature for all of you strategists out there.

A note about online features: if you but a new game, you get a code, which can only be redeemed once. If you buy a USED game, make sure you inquire if the code has been already used. You can buy a new code separately for 800 MS points. Unlike last year, you only get a 2-day trial instead of 7-day trial.

Overall a solid choice and a must for a college football fan out there.

    5NCAA Game Modes Greatly Improved
    By Calcaneofibular Ligament
I absolutely love NCAA Football 12 and here is why I highly recommend the game:

"Dynasty Mode" was greatly improved from previous years. For the first time, you can start your coaching career as an Offensive Coordinator or Defensive Coordinator. I think this is a great addition to the game because it allows the user to fight for new coaching spots whether if your trying to be an offensive or defensive coordinator on a better team or even switch from being a coordinator to a head coach. This gives Dynasty Mode some added gameplay value. Also, the conferences can be edited to your liking. Other features I loved from previous NCAA Football games were all there (some improved).

"Coach a Game" Mode is a new addition to the series. You can use this mode to play an exhibition game between 2 teams and coach your team to victory. I love the view they use in this mode because it allows me to read the defense or offense. I also like how the user can call audibles, hot routes, hike the ball, etc.

The presentation looks great with improved lighting and authentic pre-game traditions. The lighting is noticeably better and the pre-game traditions look extremely cool. The traditions add an extra taste of NCAA Football to the game. The tackling is improved with a new collision and tackling system. The tackles seem a lot more realistic and defenders will even do lunges to take someone down (instead of wrapping up the ball carrier).

You can now create your very own playbook, which is very easy to use and allows users to utilize personal strategies more easily. You can also edit coaches which I don't find that interesting because I like my coaches to be the current staff.

I played a few online games and I had no problems with any of the features including an "Online Dynasty Mode" (single or multiplayer). The Road to Glory Mode now allows the user to play high school seasons. Older games only allowed the user to play in the high school playoffs, but now you can be high school seasons and work even harder to get recruited by top-ranked teams. Road to Glory Mode also had it's presentation improved with a much more realistic high school field. Giving this mode the added high school seasons will giver the user much more replay value.

Overall, I would highly recommend this game to any NCAA Football Fan. NCAA Football mainly focused on expanding current game modes as well as improving the NCAA atmosphere in the game. As an owner of NCAA Football 11, I would still highly recommend NCAA Football 12 because of all the improvements in the game. I hope this review helps!

2Another money maker/ EA unfair setup in play
    By inspector1
This game is the same as years before it. Very difficult to complete a pass, kick off run backs are just too hard to get passed the 20yd line.
Presentation is good and graphics are good as well. EA still have control of how many passes you can complete, fumbles you will have, how many INT you will have, and so on.
This game could have been a great game but there are just too many unfair settings against you.
If you have a player with great speed on a so called poor team, EA setup makes sure that that player run much slower against those so called better teams.
Often time's players on poor team run backward or sideways so good team can stop you. thanks to EA unfair settings.
These issues is also visible in madden10, 11, and will be visible in madden 12.
I would not pay 64.00 for this game or madden12 as well. I also did not buy M11.
Wait and read the review and wait until the price is cheaper.

Four New Dance Modes Dedicated to providing a richer, deeper gaming experience, the development team behind Just Dance 2 has included four new dance modes. These include:
    Duet Mode
Created to foster more interaction between players, Duet Mode allows players to dance together, and in the process forces them to pay more attention to the players around them instead of simply following on-screen prompts.
    Dance Battle Mode
Dance Battle Mode is a team mode that features up to 8-player support. Although individual scores are the basis of the overall team scores, the extreme multiplayer basis of the mode changes what can be the individual nature of dance into something very different.
    Party Mode
Party Mode is a straight up dance fest in which players can get together and dance for as long as they want, just for the fun of it.
    Just Sweat Mode
An exercise mode disguised as fun, the meter built into the Just Sweat Mode allows players to measure the energy they expend while dancing as well as set objectives to be met during their dance sessions.

    From the Manufacturer
The AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet provides a one-cable solution for many of your home entertainment needs. This versatile cable provides high-definition quality for movies, TV, and games, plus all the benefits of home entertainment networking. You can use this 6.5-foot (2.0 Meter) cable to connect your HDTV to your cable box, satellite dish, Blu-ray player, and more, and experience quality audio and video (up to 1080p) from your home theater. Additionally, the cable allows you to share an Internet connection among multiple devices without the need for a separate Ethernet cable.
Check your device manuals to make sure you have the right connectors.

AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet (6.5 Feet / 2.0 Meters)

High-Definition Video and Audio in a Single Cable
High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) has become the de facto standard for high-definition digital devices. It combines both audio and video into one convenient cable, so you can easily connect your HDTV to your A/V receiver, Blu-ray player, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, satellite dish, and other high-definition source devices. The AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet lets you take advantage of up to 1080p resolution and increased color depth on your HDTV. It also supports 3D television functionality.
    Why Ethernet Matters
As the graphic to the left illustrates, getting ethernet to your numerous internet capable devices required either a wireless signal, which can decrease performance, or an additional dedicated cable from each unit to a connected internet source. Ethernet-ready HDMI cables allow you to still combine HD video and digital audio in one cable, with the added benefit of also being able to carry all of your favorite internet content.
Backwards Compatible with Previous HDMI Standards
This cable is backwards compatible with all previous HDMI standards, so you'll be able to use this cable with all your HDMI devices. When you connect two devices with different HDMI standards, they will automatically find the best available connection.
Shielding and Gold-Plated Connectors for Signal Purity
This HDMI cable features shielding and a durable, black PVC outer layer. The shielding provides defense against outside interference and helps maintain the integrity and purity of the digital signal.
The cable also features gold-plated connectors that resist corrosion while offering optimal signal transfer with lower distortion at the point of contact. The result of this dedication to the digital signal is sound and picture quality that is more true to the original.
AmazonBasics: Quality Products at Low Prices
AmazonBasics is a collection of consumer electronic "basics" created by combining quality and low prices for an overall focus on value.
This cable is backed by an AmazonBasics one-year limited warranty.
    What's in the Box
Multi-shielded high-speed HDMI cable with Ethernet (6.5 feet / 2.0 meters) and warranty booklet.

A Basic Cable at a Good Price
    By Michael J. Descy
This is the HDMI cable to get right now: an HDMI 1.4 cable at a good price.

    HDMI 1.4

HDMI 1.4 is the latest standard (as of November 2010 at least). It is backward compatible with other HDMI gear (mine all are HDMI 1.3 compliant). And it will be more useful to you if your TV supports HDMI 1.4 networking. I was not able to test the Ethernet networking capability of this cable, but I think the idea behind it is a good one.

For my current home entertainment setup, I had to set up separate Internet connections on my TV, set top box, Blu-Ray player, and WD TV LIVE (HTPC). It would have been a lot easier if I could have just set up my TV's internet connection, and allow all of my components to share it. That's what HDMI 1.4 promises to let you do--as long as all of your hardware, including the cables, supports it. This cable will support that functionality; it's more "future-proof" than the HDMI 1.3 cables I have been using.

Learn more (and see nice diagrams) at [...]

    This Cable

This cable is really long, so I don't recommend it if your components are very close together. A 3-foot cable would easily suffice in that case.

    Overall Impressions

This cable is a great buy. Definitely order it if your new A/V or PC components don't come with an HDMI cable.

    A bit difficult to maneuver
    By Sadie
I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my computer to stream video from the internet to my HDTV. The picture is clear and the sound quality is very good. I don't see any difference while using this cable from computer to HDTV than I do when watching TV directly from my satellite box. The only problem I have with this cable is that it is very thick due to the braiding, which makes it hard to turn. I need to plug it into one side of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the other side where I place my computer out of tripping range. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop around and it's heavier than the other cables I have. This cable would probably be best for professional use where there might be heavy usage and plugging and unplugging of the cord. It will probably stand the test of time and constant movement easier than the regular smooth vinyl cables. But, for normal home use, the vinyl cables are easier to handle.

For anyone who has not used an HDMI cable and is new to HDTV, this cable can be used to hook up your cable box, DVD or Blu Ray disc player, computer, Wii, sound system and whatever else you have that has an HDMI cable connector. You do not need to use separate audio cables as this beauty steams everything through it. It's super simple to use - just plug it in to your HDTV and plug the other end into the other component and play. I suggest getting HDMI cables for each separate component so you don't have to pull out the DVD cable to plug in your computer.

Equal to Cables at 5X the Price
    By Jonathan
This is an excellent HDMI cable. I was skeptical seeing Amazon come out with their own cables, but these are very good quality. I would equate them to the higher end Belkin Pure AV line, which you can sometimes find at the best prices. These cables are even less than that! And the packaging is nice ... no fussing with scissors and that super-sealed plastic that cables usually come in - just pop 'em out and hook 'em up! Great!

Installation was quick and uneventful and my laptop (runs Windows 7 Enterprise) immediately recognized the new memory. My computer appears to be performing better post-upgrade. For what this sells, it can't get much better. Before ordering, you should make sure that this is EXACTLY what you need. While DDR3 transfer at twice the data rate of DDR2, they are physically incompatible with DDR2 slots so you can't upgrade from DDR2 to DDR3. You should also be aware that the amount of available memory depends on the operating system and the way your computer is configured (BIOS) so you may not be able to use the all the memory in your system until you install to a 64-bit OS and/or upgrade your BIOS. To me, it's an easy 5 stars. Specs: - Peak transfer rate: 8533 MB/s - Cycle time: 7.5 ns - Memory clock @ 133 MHz - I/O bus clock @ 533 MHz - ONE 2GB module - Limited (what does it mean?) lifetime warranty but there is no warranty statement - Made in Taiwan

So simple, even an adult can install it! Snaps in and Windows XP picks it up immediatley on a cold boot (Before you install - you must remember to remove big battery, electric power cord AFTER you zap yourself touching the computer (just like walking across carpet and touching something metalic). You will have something like 2.75gb memory when done. When you remove the two screw holding the underplate, you cannot miss the place to plug it in - Label side facing up to you. Push down gently along the sides and you will hear it snap in place. Be gentle, it is a chip. Computer works way,way better with the added memory.

I purchased two of these CM3X2GSD1066 2GB modules and they work flawlessly. All 4GB is recognized in x64 Windows once you upgrade the BIOS to 0604. Corsair is one of the most respected names in the business, and to top it off they offer a lifetime warranty. I've had to RMA a few different modules over the years and their RMA service is outstanding.
